Our school has a wellbeing dog that we have been training since 2022.  Her name is Juno and she is a female Labradoodle (DOB 24/5/22).

Juno has undertaken intensive training and an assessment to ensure that she is suitable for the role of wellbeing dog in our school.

Juno has a wellbeing dog handler team at school who work closely with a dog trainer in an ongoing capacity to support Juno to develop the skills and behaviours that she needs to be successful in her role.

The students and staff have enjoyed seeing Juno around the school and having limited, structured interactions with her while she was in training.   Now that she has passed her training Juno will be working to a strict timetable and will be assisting students with regulation and engaging in their learning.  Juno will always be on a lead and with an official dog handler who ensure the safety of her and others around her.  Please remember to ignore Juno when you see her and if you are wanting an interaction with her, make eye contact with the dog handler and ask for permission and wait for a response.
