Student Voice, Leadership & Agency

Staff value student voice and view each child as competent and capable and this is highly visible in the way each teacher operates in their learning program.

Student leadership opportunities include:

• Reception to Year 6 representation on Student Action teams including; Grounds and Environment, Wellbeing and Lunchtime Activities
• Year 6 School Leaders
• Year 6 Cultural Leaders
• Year 6 Sports House Leaders
• Class based leadership opportunities across Reception to Year 6
• Year 6 barista training program.

Students have an active role in decision-making.

The student leaders run special days, organise fundraising events and influence school and classroom priorities.

Teachers work to give students the knowledge, skills and understandings to have agency in their learning.
